Consulting

As nationally known experts in terra cotta buildings and architectural elements, we are regularly called in for historical restoration consulting. We work with architects, consultants, engineers and owners in developing the details and specifications for their projects.

We can also assist you by conducting historical restoration surveys for terra cotta buildings, including field surveys and inventories, historical research, testing, documentation, an analysis of the terra cotta portions of the buildings and restoration drawings. We collaborate with the client and any consultants and supporting personnel that they might bring into the project.

In many cases detailed designs for the project have already been produced. In these situations, TerraGlas uses the shop drawing process to help refine the details of the design and proceeds with submittals. Once the shop drawings and submittals are approved, they become the basis for the terra cotta work.

Field Molds

In some instances, molds are taken in the field of existing terra cotta elements as a basis for the replacement pieces. With expertise in architectural castings and terra cotta replacement and restoration, we can assist you with your surveys, pricing, repair and replacement needs. We are regularly involved in historical restoration consulting and our historical surveys include research, documentation, drawings and terra cotta analysis.

CAD Services

Terraglas has the largest and most complete CAD department in the industry. With years of experience in terra cotta and stone restoration and renovation work, we can help you with details and layouts. Send us your files and we'll respond with suggestions and details you can work with.

Capacity

No other supplier has a larger capacity than TerraGlas. With over 15 acres and 100,000 square feet of plant, we can keep ahead of any size project. Terraglas acquired the models and patterns of Atlantic Terra Cotta, the largest terra cotta manufacturer in the world in the heyday of terra cotta, from the late 1800’s until the 1930’s. With this addition the models now number into the tens of thousands. Additionally TerraGlas can create site molds from existing terracotta or re-create shapes and elements from old drawings or photos. This means we can meet your needs regardless of the size or complexity of your terra cotta project.
